The Campaign’s work in this area has three foci: direct support of survivors who access the criminal justice system; advocacy to address gaps in the system; and research that seeks to interrogate the conflation of justice with law and legal remedies as well as provide survivor-centered perspectives (as described above).

In the beginning I was in utter and complete shock, I could not believe that it had happened to
me, that this person had done this. I could not admit to myself let alone to anyone else that I

going to do. I had imagined that POWA or some organisation had a centre somewhere with
