Introduction

Introduction

We act in solidarity with individuals and organisations and contribute to building feminist activism and movement through promoting women’s agency, leadership and activism. One strand of this work involves supporting survivors of sexual violence in accessing justice and continued support beyond their engagement with the criminal justice system. Another consists of developing women’s leadership through training, mentorship and feminist political education, and the third strand involves the Campaign’s supportive role and participation on a range of social justice issues led by other organisations and groups. The Campaign’s programs target women in organisations and individuals in the socio-economic justice, sexual and reproductive health rights, Women in extractive industries, HIV and AIDS, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and gender queer/non-conforming movements, migrant Women and rape and sexual violence organisations. One of the projects that is housed by the Campaign is the FK Youth Exchange; an exchange between One in Nine, Katswe Sisterhood (Zimbabwe) and SAIH (Norway) that promotes feminist movement building, sharing, learning and exchange of information and best practices between the organisations and for strengthening young women’s understanding of local and global contexts for women’s lived experiences.
